Planetarium
The planetarium is a theater for simulating the arrangement of stars and celestial bodies. The roof of the building is usually in the form of a semicircular dome. At the planetarium, viewers can learn about the movement of celestial bodies at night from various places on earth and the history of the universe. A planetarium is different from an observatory. The dome of the planetarium cannot be opened to view the stars. In the performance space there is an image source in the form of a planetarium projector which is generally placed in the center of the room. The projector can demonstrate the movement of celestial bodies according to time and location. The show takes place with a narrative accompanied by music. The seats have reclining back so that the audience can see the screen on the inside of the dome ceiling. The screen is semi-spherical, and is usually composed of aluminum panels. Performance material may vary depending on the show title and schedule.
