Taman Ismail Marzuki
The Jakarta Arts Center Taman Ismail Marzuki which is popularly known as Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) is an arts and culture center located on Jalan Cikini Raya 73, Central Jakarta. Here are the Jakarta Arts Institute and the Jakarta Planetarium. Apart from that, TIM also has six modern theaters, an exhibition hall, a gallery, an archive building and a cinema. Art and cultural events are regularly performed at this arts center, including plays, dance, puppet shows, music, poetry readings, painting exhibitions and film performances. Various types of traditional and contemporary arts, both those that are indigenous to Indonesia and from abroad, can also be found in this place. The name of this art center comes from the name of the famous Indonesian songwriter Ismail Marzuki.
