Univeritas Indonesia
Shady and beautiful, maybe that's the impression that was left after we visited the UI campus area. Maybe that is also something that attracts the attention of people around Depok to spend their weekends here. Depok has a charming urban forest which is included in the University of Indonesia (UI) area. We can enjoy the fresh air and green trees in the forest. Actually, the main purpose of the urban forest there is a water infiltration area, but we can also use it as a tourist spot. To enter the city forest a path has been provided, there are also benches for us to rest while breathing fresh air and see the green leaves and towers to see the view of the urban forest from above. As the greenest campus in Indonesia, UI also has a beautiful lake that is free of garbage, the lakes are divided into 6 which is an acronym for the word KAMPUS, namely Kenanga Lake which has an area of about 2.8 hectares, Lake Agatis 2 hectares, Lake Mahoni 4, 5 hectares, 2 hectares Puspa lake, 7.2 hectares Ulin lake and 4.2 hectares Salam lake. Of the six lakes, Lake Kenangan is the most frequently visited by students and people around Depok. This is due to its strategic location, which is between the Balairung Building, the Mosque, and the UI Library.
